Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shimon Peres (ranked 2783 p4p, 2241 weight class) and Ray Pest (ranked 102 p4p, 79 weight class). Pest has chosen The Island as his entrance music. Ray Pest is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Shimon Peres! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ray Pest! The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, David Hoff and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Peres moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Pest shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Peres napping and manages to drive through into side control! Pest wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Peres, who protects the arm well. Pest working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Pest is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Peres is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Peres is trying to control Pest's posture but Pest avoids it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pest tries to advance to mount but can't.
That's one minute gone in the round. Peres tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad. Peres is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Pest throws some wild stikes that Peres manages to avoid easily.

Peres looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Peres trying to control the hands but Pest breaks the grip. Pest fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Peres to the ground. Pest is now in Peres's guard. Pest showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Peres is looking for a triangle but Pest pushes his legs off easily.

Pest is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Peres! Pest jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Peres manages to avoid the submission attempt. Pest advances nicely into full mount. Pest avoids the attempt from Peres to control. That's two minutes gone in the round. Pest takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Pest is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Pest is continuing to stall.

Peres is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Pest seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Peres keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Ray Pest has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Ray Pest showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round! Peres lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Pest looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Pest changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Peres looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Peres stops Pest from passing to mount. Peres struggling a bit here. Peres tries to get back to half guard but can't. You can see the frustration on Peres's face as Pest controls the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pest wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Peres, who protects the arm well. Peres tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Pest wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Pest has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Peres is being controlled here. Pest advances nicely into full mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pest controlling the position easily from mount. Pest throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Peres is looking to get to half guard. Pest fails to take his opponent's back. Pest controlling his opponent. Peres has given up his back.
Even with his hooks in, Pest manages to miss with strikes from the back. Peres is trying to break free.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pest controls the action. Peres rolls, trying to escape but Pest keeps control of the position.
Peres defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Pest's arms. Pest looking to break Peres's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Peres remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Pest will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Pest controls the action. Let's hope that Pest has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Pest is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Peres knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Peres for a finish.

Pest working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. Pest really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Peres. Pest has managed to slip his arm under Peres's chin. This could be all over... yep, Peres is tapping out! Submission win for Pest.
