Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bryant Smith (ranked 575 p4p, 988 weight class) and Wilmerr Fudd (ranked 78 p4p, 130 weight class). Smith comes to the cage accompanied by Television - Marquee Moon. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 16 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bryant Smith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Wilmerr Fudd!
The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, John Mangel and Darius Henderson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fudd stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Smith.
Smith comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Smith sizes up Fudd with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Fudd tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Smith swivels and escapes.
Smith scores with a kick to the body.
Smith cracks Fudd with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Smith bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Fudd's head.
Smith avoids the head kick by Fudd.
Smith is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Smith lands with a thumping leg kick.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Smith feints and then cracks Fudd's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Fudd down.
Smith throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Fudd drops his hands momentarily and Smith takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Fudd is rocked!

Fudd shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Smith's guard.
Fudd is still in real trouble! Can Smith finish him?

Fudd seems to have recovered his senses.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Smith manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Smith throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Fudds head.
Smith lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Smith throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Nice body punch from Smith - that landed with a thud.
Fudd looks winded!
Smith lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Still in the clinch, Smith scores with a nice short uppercut.
Fudd looking for a takedown.
Smith scores with an uppercut up the middle.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Smith stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.

A quick uppercut on the inside from Smith.
Smith lands a left hand.
Smith lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Fudd backwards.
Still in the clinch, Smith scores with a nice short uppercut.
Fudd wants a takedown but no success here.
Bryant Smith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wilmerr Fudd.
Smith lands a body shot in the clinch.

Smith pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Smith gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Smith is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Fudd has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Smith to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Fudd is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Smith pulls down on the head and he's put Fudd to sleep! This one is all over!
