Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jack Messervey (ranked 5329 p4p, 5314 weight class) and King Money (ranked 594 p4p, 593 weight class). Money comes into a darkened arena with his song building. murder on my mind kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! King Money will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jack Messervey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, King Money! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, John Kavanagh and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Money scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Messervey has his takedown stuffed and Money counters with a left and a right that stings Messervey. Money doesn't succeed with the takedown and Messervey counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Money on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Messervey wants to control but Money is keeping him busy. Money moves into full guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Messervey being controlled here momentarily. Messervey got a little sloppy there for a moment and Money has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Messervey has managed to get both his arms back between Money's legs - danger averted. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Messervey trying to control but Money is working from the bottom. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Money is on top in guard.
Money has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Messervey is proving hard to escape from. Money content to stall in guard here. Messervey looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Money trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Money sitting in guard, not really doing much. Money wants to control from the top but Messervey keeps moving. Messervey is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Money tries to free his leg and advance position but Messervey is retaining full guard.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Money slaps away a takedown attempt from Messervey, before circling back to the center of the mat. Messervey looks for a takedown but Money sprawls well. Money is clearly looking to counter with head kicks. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Messervey. That's going to take a lot out of him. Messervey misses with a two punch combination.
Messervey looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Money lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Messervey rushes Money and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Money creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Messervey keeps control of Money as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Messervey jumps guard but Money turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Money is trying to pull guard but Messervey has him pressed against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Messervey breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Money tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Messervey paws at him with a jab and circles away. Danga de danga de dang - Money scores with a four punch combination! Money throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Messervey stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Messervey is breathing heavily. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! No luck for Money with that takedown attempt. Messervey is looking to clinch. Messervey looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Messervey fails with a takedown attempt. Messervey circles away from the clinch attempt.
It looked like Messervey was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Money. Money is looking to clinch. Money tries a head kick but it misses.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
King Money dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Messervey swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Money closes the distance but Messervey moves to the side and Messervey counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Money tries to kick Messervey off but Messervey keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Messervey decides to return to a standing position. Messervey tries to score a power double leg takedown but Money sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Messervey somewhat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Money fails with a takedown attempt. Money fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Messervey moves into range and clinches up with Money. Messervey content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Money tries to break free but Messervey pushes him back against the cage. Messervey pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. The fight stays on the outside here - Messervey looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Money tries to counter by closing the distance. The fight moves into the clinch position. Messervey is defending well against a takedown attempt. Jack Messervey has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of King Money. Messervey manages to break the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Messervey scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Money is trying to control Messervey's posture but Messervey avoids it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Money stops Messervey from passing to mount. Messervey is trying to get an arm triangle but Money is defending well. Money tries to bench press Messervey off him but Messervey keeps the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Messervey scores with punches from side control. Money wants to control but Messervey postures up. Money sneaks out the side door and pushes Messervey away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. Money takes the fight into the clinch. Messervey misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Money is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Messervey gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Messervey has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Money is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Money wants to take the fight to the mat but Messervey manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Messervey tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Money smiles and moves away.
Jack Messervey is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Money moves in looking to clinch but Messervey pushes him off. Messervey shoots in and bounces Money off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Money not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Messervey postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Money is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Messervey, into his guard.
This has been an exciting period of action! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Messervey is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Jack Messervey dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round! Messervey avoids a punch combination nicely.
Horrible takedown attempt by Money or perhaps it was just good defense by Messervey, which made it look bad. Messervey tries to clinch up and Money counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Money shoots in but no luck this time. Money fails to land with a series of punches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Money gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Messervey to score an easy takedown into full guard. Money has his feet on Messervey's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Messervey shoots in but no luck this time. Money is looking for the big counter here. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Messervey. That's going to take a lot out of him. Messervey feints and as Money raises his hands in defense, Messervey changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Money pushes Messervey off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Money goes for a double leg but Messervey avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Messervey continues to drive forward. Money shoots and misses and Messervey counters by clinching up. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Money drags the fight down to the ground.
Money keeping moving, preventing Messervey from controlling successfully. King Money has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Messervey lands a couple of decent looking shots. Money has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Messervey can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Messervey sitting in guard here, content to control. Messervey is looking to pass into half guard but Money pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Money is in guard.
Messervey might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Messervey trying to keep a closed guard but Money is proving a slippery customer.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Money drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Messervey manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Money has Messervey in his guard.
Messervey has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Money keeping moving, preventing Messervey from controlling successfully. Messervey decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Messervey misses with a double jab
and Money counters with a two punch combo.

Messervey dives in and scores a takedown into Money's guard. Money lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Messervey looking to hit a scissor sweep but Money is one step ahead there. Messervey looking for subs off his back but Money has passed one foot through into half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! King Money comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Money has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
