Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jehu Christ (ranked 5048 p4p, 5715 weight class) and Backy Izback (ranked 537 p4p, 582 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Izback's choice of entrance music: Without me. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jehu Christ!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Backy Izback!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Percy O'Donnell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Izback gets a takedown into half guard.
Izback looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Izback wants to control but Christ is keeping him busy.
Izback prevents Christ from standing back up.

Christ lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Backy Izback seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Jehu Christ is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Christ throws an overhand right that lands on Izback's shoulder, as Izback tries to avoid the shot.

Izback scores with a nice head shot.
Christ fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Christ takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Izback moves away from the strike by Christ.

Izback darts in and clinches Christ up against the cage.

Izback has clasped his hands together around Christ's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Christ is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Izback asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Izback tries to score with some ground and pound. Christ controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Christ pushes Izback away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Izback gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Izback wants to lay and pray for a moment but Christ keeps working.
Izback throwing strikes but Christ manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
Christ tries to stand but Izback is controlling his head.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Izback wants to clinch up but Christ keeps it at a distance.
Christ connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Izback showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Christ.
Christ's jab looks to have found its range, popping Izback under the eye.
Izback bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Izback has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Izback there as he acknowledges the shot.
Izback moves in looking to clinch but Christ pushes him off.

Izback drives through and clinches with Christ against the cage.
Izback's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Izback is trying to trip Christ. He has hold of a leg but Christ is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Izback persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Christ is looking to stand up but Izback isn't so interested in that idea.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Izback wants to control from the top but Christ keeps moving.
Izback must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Izback slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!

Christ wants to stand and escape but Izback is having none of it.
Christ keeping moving, preventing Izback from controlling successfully.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Izback closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Christ looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Izback just misses with a elbow thrown towards Christ's brow.
Christ lands a right hand that snaps the head of Izback backwards.
Christ prevents the takedown attempt.
Izback tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Christ's elbow.

Christ lands a really nice looking cross but Izback seems unphased.

Izback ducks right into an uppercut from Christ.

Izback gets a clinch.

Christ breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Izback fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Christ on the side of the head.
Izback takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Izback tries to clinch but Christ moves out of range.
Izback lands with a right hand.
Christ throws a hook but Izback blocks it.
Izback keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Christ.
Christ throws a right hand that Izback ducks under and follows up with a left that Izback also avoids with ease.
Izback takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Izback feints and as Christ raises his hands in defense, Izback changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Christ wants to stand and escape but Izback is having none of it.
Izback throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Christ is looking to stand up but Izback isn't so interested in that idea.
Christ avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Christ makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Christ can't find room to land a body shot as Izback controls the action.
Christ wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Izback has him pressed against the cage.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Izback doesn't manage to clinch there - Christ circles away.
Christ scores with a jab.

Izback is rocked!
Christ throws an uppercut from hell that sends Izback clean off his feet! He's out cold! Christ stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:17 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jehu Christ!
Backy Izback spoke after the fight, saying 'it sucks'.
