Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Demetrius Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Garik Andonian!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yukihiro Shimada and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Andonian has closed the distance and engaged Jackson in a clinch.
Jackson prevents a body shot from Andonian.
Andonian misses with a punch to the body.
Andonian missing with knees to the body.
Jackson manages to break the clinch.
Jackson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Andonian manages to avoid it.
A punch lands to the side of Andonian 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Andonian throws a low kick but it's checked well by Jackson.
Jackson throws an off balance right hand
letting Andonian counter with a right hand.
Andonian needs to keep his hands up - Jackson had a free shot at his head there.
Andonian lands a leg kick that knocks Jackson off balance momentarily.
The fighters circling - Jackson throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Good exchange - Jackson coming out on top.
Andonian slips a jab from Jackson.
Demetrius Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jackson throws a nice outside leg kick.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jackson fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Andonian on the side of the head.
Andonian is rocked!
Andonian just misses with a punch to the body.
Jackson is looking to counter punch.
Andonian is still on wobbly legs! Can Jackson finish him?
Andonian tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jackson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Jackson drops Andonian with a straight right hand, right on the button! Jackson follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Demetrius Jackson!
After the fight, Demetrius Jackson was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
