Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dalton Swas (ranked 3036 p4p, 25592 weight class) and Lord Green (ranked 396 p4p, 703 weight class). Lord Green has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dalton Swas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lord Green!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Gregory Folan and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Green throws a sloppy head kick and Swas moves out of range easily.
Green should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Green lands a head shot.
A low kick from Green is predictable there

and Swas counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Green!
Green is trying to control Swas's posture but Swas avoids it.
Green takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Green manages to get back to half guard.
Green is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Swas in particular looking to stall.
Swas tries to stand and escape but Green is controlling the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Swas looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Swas wants to pass to mount but Green is defending the position.
Swas with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Swas is pressing down on Green's thigh, looking to free his foot. Green is holding on for now.
Swas will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Green is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Swas seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Swas wants to work for an arm triangle but Green is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Swas takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Green is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Swas content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

Swas clinches up with Green and pushes him back against the cage.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Swas tries for a takedown. No joy.

Swas wants the takedown. Green is fighting it off but Swas persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Green's guard against the cage.
Swas sitting in guard, not really doing much.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Green looking for a sweep. Not yet Green, not yet.
Green being controlled here, momentarily.
Swas's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Green is trying to hold Swas in close to prevent damage but Swas has managed to pass into half guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Swas is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Green is looking to control Swas's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Green avoid being mounted?
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Green wants to control but Swas is keeping busy.
Swas controlling the action here.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Dalton Swas dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Green throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Green pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Green is defended easily by Swas.
Green throws a leg kick that is checked

and Swas counters with a single leg into guard. Green didn't expect that.
Swas looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Green looking to hit a scissor sweep but Swas is one step ahead there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Swas controlling from the top position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Green is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Swas is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Green can do to turn this around?
Swas scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Swas forces his way into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Swas wants to stand but Green has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Swas in particular looking to stall.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Swas seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Green for as long as he can get away with.
Green is trying to get back to full guard.

Swas is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Green sees it coming and defends easily.

Swas is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Green tries to get to full guard but Swas has control of the leg.

Swas controlling the pace.
Green is looking to improve his position.
Swas is taking a breather. Green says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Further stalling from Swas.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Swas throws a body shot but no joy.
Green drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Swas defends it well.
Green tries to close the distance and clinch up but Swas swats him away and circles back towards the center.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Swas slips under a jab.
Swas scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Dalton Swas is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Green tries to close the distance and clinch but Swas swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Swas has taken the fight to the clinch.

Swas breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A head kick by Green misses

so Swas counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Green has a closed guard, preventing Swas from standing up.
Swas is working Green over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Green can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Swas controls the pace.
Swas passes into half guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Swas feints and as Green raises his hands in defense, Swas changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Green is trying to control the position but Swas postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Swas wants to stand but Green has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Swas engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Swas controls from within his opponent's guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Green throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Swas is looking to counter the offense by Green and move into the clinch.
Green takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Green swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Green throws a sloppy head kick and Swas moves out of range easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Swas closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Well, if Swas is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Swas seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Swas with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Swas continues to stall.

Swas seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Green is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
