Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nick Diaz (ranked 1883 p4p, 3119 weight class) and Miguel Santos (ranked 266 p4p, 408 weight class). Diaz comes to the cage accompanied by Ceremony. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nick Diaz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Miguel Santos! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Franklyn Lucas and Lou da Vinci.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diaz displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Santos. Diaz is trying hard to land a takedown here. Santos sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Santos swings for the body but Diaz moves out of range.
Santos leaves Diaz with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Santos shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Diaz as he avoids it easily.
Diaz closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Santos kicks off Diaz and gets to his feet. Diaz looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Diaz shoots in and drives through. Santos sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nick Diaz. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Diaz scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Santos throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Diaz shoots and misses
and Santos counters by clinching up. Santos tries to land knees in the clinch but Diaz avoids the damage to the body. Santos dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Diaz blocks a body shot from Santos.
Santos manages to pull guard.
Diaz wants to control from the top but Santos keeps moving.
Diaz is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Santos looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Santos can't keep his opponent in guard - Diaz advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Santos is refusing to be controlled, as Diaz sits in half guard.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Nice strikes from Diaz there. Santos wants to get back to full guard. Diaz throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Diaz is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Santos has managed to free his arm - good work. Santos is staying active underneath Diaz, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Santos wants to get back to full guard. Santos keeps trying to improve his position. Diaz is looking to advance position but Santos won't allow it. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Santos can do anything to dispel that myth.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Diaz works his way into side control. Santos really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Diaz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Diaz is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Santos is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Diaz has hold of Santos's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Santos seems comfortable defending it but Diaz has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Santos is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Santos is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Diaz couldn't care less - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Nick Diaz! Nick Diaz spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
