Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ben Mason (ranked 4639 p4p, 5173 weight class) and Marco Polo (ranked 388 p4p, 411 weight class). Mason comes to the cage accompanied by Till I collapse. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ben Mason!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marco Polo!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mason tries to score a power double leg takedown but Polo sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mason somewhat.
Polo lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Mason shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Polo pinned against the cage. Polo gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Polo looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

letting Polo counter with a right hand.

Mason looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Mason shoots for a double leg takedown but Polo sprawls well. He's pushed Mason's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

and Polo counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

and Polo connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Mason is rocked!
Mason is breathing heavily.
Polo lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Mason head around and knocks him out cold! Polo hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.
