Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Niles Standish (ranked 3686 p4p, 3731 weight class) and Charles Greene (ranked 348 p4p, 350 weight class). Charles Greene will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Greene tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Standish is able to avoid easily.

Standish closes the distance and clinches.

Standish pulls Greene into guard.
Greene postures up in Standish's guard and throws a big left but Standish blocks it.
Greene has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Cozad The Island. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
Standish manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Greene manages to get himself to full guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Greene can do anything to dispel that myth.

Greene is trying to control the position but Standish postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Greene is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Greene wants to stand up but Standish is controlling him.
Standish sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Greene's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Greene has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Standish is working away from the top position though.

Standish is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Greene sees it coming and defends easily.

Standish is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Greene!
