Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rick Ross (ranked 25143 p4p, 5728 weight class) and James Crazyhorse (ranked 644 p4p, 597 weight class). James Crazyhorse is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Rick Ross! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, James Crazyhorse! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Winston Alpacca and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Crazyhorse is trying hard to land a takedown here. Ross sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Crazyhorse shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ross as he jumps to the side. Crazyhorse looks for a takedown but Ross sprawls well. Ross quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect. Rick Ross has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Crazyhorse. Ross dives in and scores a takedown into Crazyhorse's guard. Ross trying to control the position from guard on top but Crazyhorse is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Crazyhorse is on top in guard.
Ross pulls Crazyhorse in close to prevent any damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ross keeping full guard, as Crazyhorse tries to pass. Ross avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Crazyhorse has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Crazyhorse is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Crazyhorse loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Crazyhorse postures up.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Crazyhorse accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Crazyhorse wants to control from the top but Ross keeps moving. Ross preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Ross looking for a sweep. Not yet Ross, not yet. Crazyhorse stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ross swivels though and keeps the full guard. Ross looking for a sweep. Not yet Ross, not yet. Ross has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Crazyhorse can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Ross avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Crazyhorse missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Crazyhorse landing with the ground and pound. Crazyhorse tries to free his leg and advance position but Ross is retaining full guard. Ross keeping moving, preventing Crazyhorse from controlling successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ross wants to get back to his feet but Crazyhorse is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Crazyhorse shoots in for a double leg but Ross sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Ross dives in and grabs Crazyhorse's left leg, looking for a takedown. Crazyhorse pushes down on Ross's head and hops out. Crazyhorse shoots in looking for a takedown but Ross manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Crazyhorse's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Nice sprawl there from Ross as Crazyhorse shoots in. Crazyhorse fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Crazyhorse fails miserably with a takedown attempt. No luck with that takedown attempt from Crazyhorse. Crazyhorse fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Crazyhorse shoots for a takedown but Ross saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Crazyhorse looks winded! Crazyhorse throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ross's waist but Ross gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Crazyhorse off to one side. Nice sprawl there from Crazyhorse as Ross shoots in.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ross leaves Crazyhorse with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Ross fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Crazyhorse to the ground. Ross is now in Crazyhorse's guard. Ross wants to control from the top but Crazyhorse keeps moving. Crazyhorse is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Ross defends well. Ross wanted to stand there but Crazyhorse had control of the position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Crazyhorse looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Ross is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Rick Ross dominated that round. That's time! Ross's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. No luck with that takedown attempt from Crazyhorse. Crazyhorse fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ross avoids it really well and circles away. Crazyhorse shoots in for a takedown but Ross shows good takedown defense. Rick Ross has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Crazyhorse. Ross keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. No luck for Ross with that takedown attempt. Ross throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Crazyhorse was covering up waiting for the punch and Ross finishes the takedown easily into guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ross throws a big elbow that misses. Crazyhorse looking for a guillotine here but Ross defends easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Crazyhorse has his foot on Ross's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ross works his way back into a safe position though. Crazyhorse isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Ross stacks Crazyhorse on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Ross! Crazyhorse wants to control but Ross postures up. Crazyhorse tries to buck Ross off but Ross is having none of it. Crazyhorse gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Crazyhorse punching from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Ross has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Crazyhorse blocking the ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ross throwing strikes here but Crazyhorse is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Crazyhorse is trying desperately to improve position. Ross jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Crazyhorse manages to avoid the submission attempt. Crazyhorse is looking to regain half guard here but Ross keeps moving and retains side control. Rick Ross overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Crazyhorse is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Crazyhorse is trying to escape the position but Ross is controlling the position. Ross has knee on belly and moves into mount. Crazyhorse wants to control but Ross is having none of it. Ross sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Crazyhorse manages to regain half guard. Good work.

Crazyhorse tries to get to full guard but Ross has control of the leg. Ross is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Crazyhorse is just riding it out for now. Ross eventually gives up the hold. Crazyhorse wants to control but Ross is keeping busy.
Ross is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Crazyhorse can do to turn this around? Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Crazyhorse is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Rick Ross dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round! Crazyhorse tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Ross defends well and Crazyhorse ends up having to push Ross into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Ross closes this distance looking for a takedown but Crazyhorse circles away. Crazyhorse fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Ross fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Horrible takedown attempt by Crazyhorse or perhaps it was just good defense by Ross, which made it look bad. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rick Ross is winning the standup battle so far. Ross displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Crazyhorse. Ross drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Crazyhorse defending against the ground and pound. Ross in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Ross decides to stand back up. Ross steps back and let's Crazyhorse get back to his feet. Ross shoots for a takedown but Crazyhorse saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Crazyhorse shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ross as he avoids it easily. And Ross counters with a quick kick to the body but Crazyhorse blocks it. Ross thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Crazyhorse throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Ross is looking to work some ground and pound but Crazyhorse has wrist control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ross has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Crazyhorse to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Ross is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Crazyhorse pulls down on the head and he's put Ross to sleep! This one is all over!
