And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Monika Szlesz!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bialoszewski shoots for a double leg takedown but Szlesz sprawls well. He's pushed Bialoszewski's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Lukasz Bialoszewski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Horrible takedown by Bialoszewski or perhaps it was just good defense by Szlesz which made him look bad.
Bialoszewski avoids the head kick by Szlesz.
Bialoszewski throws a jab but it's blocked by Szlesz.

Szlesz shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Szlesz seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Szlesz postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Bialoszewski to stand up.
Szlesz buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Bialoszewski throws a head kick that misses
and Szlesz counters with a big head kick but Bialoszewski shrugs it off.
Szlesz throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Bialoszewski.
Szlesz plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Szlesz tries for a takedown but Bialoszewski sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Bialoszewski throws a sloppy head kick
and Szlesz counters with a nice body kick.

Bialoszewski preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Szlesz is pushing down on Bialoszewski's leg trying to pass to half guard. Bialoszewski is fighting to maintain full guard but Szlesz has managed to sneak the leg through.
Szlesz seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Bialoszewski misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Bialoszewski tries to roll over but Szlesz keeps him under control.

Szlesz is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Bialoszewski is breathing heavily.

Bialoszewski wants to get back to his feet but Szlesz is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Bialoszewski misses with a looping right.
Bialoszewski fails with the takedown
and Szlesz counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lukasz Bialoszewski. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Szlesz lands a nice hook to Bialoszewski's body. Bialoszewski takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Szlesz working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Bialoszewski looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Szlesz! Submission of the night perhaps?
