Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Lashley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trey Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lashley comes into the arena with Ya Boy feat. Lil Wayne- Rain Man blaring out of the sound system. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 1, fighting out of New York, Ryan Lashley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Trey Jones! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, John Kavanagh and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lashley takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Jeez, both these guys look absolutely knackered already, that's not a good sign! Jones cracks Lashley with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Jones is looking to clinch but Lashley is avoiding it.
Trey Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jones pushes Lashley up against the cage in a clinch. Lashley pulls guard effortlessly. Jones is looking to stand up but Lashley won't let him. Jones must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Lashley not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lashley looking for a sweep. Not yet Lashley, not yet. Jones tries to stand but Lashley is controlling from the bottom. Lashley wants to sweep here but Jones controlling him for the moment. Jones has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Lashley is proving hard to escape from.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lashley lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Jones! Lashley controlling from the full mount. Jones is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Lashley has taken his back!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Lashley has the hooks in. Jones is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Lashley working for the choke. The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Lashley's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Lashley has good solid back control here. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Jones holding both Lashley 's hands and preventing any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Lashley scores with punches and elbows. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Ryan Lashley will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Jones throws a wild body kick that Lashley sees coming a mile off. Ryan Lashley is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Jones is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Lashley fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jones, pushing him back against the cage. Jones breaks the clinch.

Lashley is pulling down on Jones's head. It's preventing any offense from Jones, at least for the moment. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

A slapping leg kick lands for Jones.
Lashley could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Jones throws a series of punches but Lashley moves out of range. Lashley misses with a takedown attempt - Jones sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Jones thows a body kick. Lashley tries to catch it but that hurt him. Jones looks to clinch and Lashley counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Jones! Lashley scores with a couple of good head shots there.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Lashley has hold of Jones's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Jones manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Jones tries to get back to half guard but can't. Poor strikes thrown by Lashley there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Lashley wants to control the pace but Jones is squirming around nicely. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lashley controlling the position easily from mount. Lashley tries to control but Jones wriggling away. Jones wants to try and get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Lashley throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Jones because Lashley loaded up on that one. Jones bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Lashley is controlling Jones's posture. Lashley is looking to stand up but Jones isn't so interested in that idea. Jones trying to control the position from guard on top but Lashley is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ryan Lashley dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Jones misses with a series of wild punches.
Lashley looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Lashley sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Jones defending well though. Jones has one foot on Lashley's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Jones looks to clinch and Lashley decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Jones's guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jones can do anything to dispel that myth. Jones has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Lashley off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Lashley dodges the punch combination from Jones.

That's one minute gone in the round. Lashley tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jones swivels and escapes. Jones moves into range and clinches up with Lashley. Jones's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Jones looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Lashley throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jones's waist but Jones gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lashley off to one side. Jones tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lashley swats him away and circles back towards the center. Jones wants to clinch but Lashley slips to the side and Lashley counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Lashley. Jones being controlled here, momentarily. Lashley trying to control the position from guard on top but Jones is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones wants to get back to his feet but Lashley is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Lashley gets to his feet - Jones follows without any prompting. Jones keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ryan Lashley. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lashley shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jones as he avoids it easily. Jones rushes Lashley and presses him up against the cage. Lashley is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. A hook to the body from Jones.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones is struggling to control the position. Lashley has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Jones avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Lashley can't get the takedown.
Jones lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
The referee calls for Lashley to work.

Jones lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Jones. Jones stuffs the takedown attempt from Lashley. Lashley gets slowly back to his feet. Jones fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Lashley. Jones clinches but Lashley breaks the clinch and Lashley counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Jones is lucky that one didn't land flush. Jones scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Jones tries to clinch but Lashley moves away and Lashley counters with a single leg into guard. Jones didn't expect that.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lashley trying to control the position from guard on top but Jones is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jones is adopting a defensive guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Lashley with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
And that's the end of the fight! Ryan Lashley showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Lashley, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
