Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Nitro (ranked 3514 p4p, 23810 weight class) and Ajay Carver (ranked 445 p4p, 661 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, George Francis and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nitro ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Carver moves away.
Nitro throws a leg kick that misses.
Carver drives through and clinches with Nitro against the cage.
Nitro tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Carver lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
A shot in the inside from Nitro.
Carver misses with a punch on the inside.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Nitro.
Nitro's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Carver misses with a left hand
and Carver takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Nitro pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Carver rushes Nitro and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Nitro lands a nice uppercut.
Carver controlling the action here for a moment.
Carver's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
A good leg kick by Nitro.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Carver looks to score with a jab to the body but Nitro is just out of range.
Carver takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
A jab from Carver misses.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Carver slips under a jab from Nitro.
Carver scores with a hook to the body. Nitro takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Nitro lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Carver is rocked!
Nitro cracks Carver with a hook to the temple - Carver is on wobbly legs here! Nitro swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Carver falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Nitro wins by TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Jimmy Nitro!
A pretty intense looking Jimmy Nitro took the opportunity post-fight to ask for a shot at the title.
