Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Pepetinho Perez (ranked 4687 p4p, 4698 weight class) and Jarren Hanes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Perez gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Perez throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hanes's waist but Hanes gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Perez off to one side.

Perez is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Hanes can't fight it off and eventually Perez manages to take the fight to the floor. Hanes looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Hanes looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Perez has picked Hanes up and slammed him! Hanes can't keep hold of the triangle and Perez manages to pass to side control!
Perez is trying to move to mount but Hanes reverses beautifully and ends up in Perez's guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Perez pushes Hanes off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Perez goes for a double leg but Hanes avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Hanes continues to drive forward.
