Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Wingers Son (ranked 2669 p4p, 4098 weight class) and Rickson Bravo (ranked 148 p4p, 209 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Wingers Son!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Rickson Bravo!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Eddie Farnsworth and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Son looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Bravo!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bravo is looking to reverse the position.
Son is looking to take a break and control but Bravo is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Bravo can't do much from the bottom here.
Bravo tries to bench press Son off him but Son keeps the position.
Bravo is still trying to improve position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bravo is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Son is looking for a kimura but Bravo is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Son to get the leverage.

Bravo is defending against the submission attempts here by Son.
Bravo has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at KingsJiuJitsuAcademy. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Son seems to be working for a kimura but Bravo defends the submission attempt.

Bravo is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Son's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Son's back!

Bravo trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
Bravo might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Son haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Son takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Son is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Bravo is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Bravo is pressing down on Son's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Son works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Bravo is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Son pulls his head out easily.

Son is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Bravo defends it well.
Son is pressing down on Bravo's thigh, looking to free his foot. Bravo is holding on for now.
Bravo is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Son jumps into side control!

Bravo wants to control but Son postures up.
Son tries to advance to mount but Bravo denies him.
Bravo is trying to control Son's posture but Son avoids it.
Bravo gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Son is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Bravo defends it well.
Bravo gets back to full guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Bravo is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Son defends well.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Son's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Bravo tries to clinch there but Son circles away.
Son tries to counter with a takedown but Bravo is quick to defend against it.

Son rushes Bravo and presses him up against the cage.

Bravo successfully pulls guard.
Son passes Bravo's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Son seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Son in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Bravo tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Son!
