Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Luca Meuneix (ranked 3406 p4p, 6321 weight class) and Rick Ross (ranked 435 p4p, 634 weight class). Meuneix comes into the arena with Paul Hertzog - Kumite blaring out of the sound system. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ross with a lazy takedown attempt
and Meuneix counters with a solid body kick.
Ross takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Ross changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Meuneix tries to avoid it but Ross manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Meuneix to the ground. Meuneix escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Rick Ross seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Meuneix counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Luca Meuneix has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rick Ross.

Ross has closed the distance and engaged Meuneix in a clinch.

Ross has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Meuneix after a bit of a struggle.

enabling Meuneix to counter with a crisp jab.
Meuneix connects with a good right hand that stumbles Ross. Ross circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Meuneix fakes the leg kick and cracks Ross in the body.

and Meuneix cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Ross shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Meuneix pinned against the cage. Meuneix gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Meuneix's corner calls for a 1-2. Meuneix obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Meuneix jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.

and Meuneix counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

and Meuneix cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Ross misses the body punch
and Ross takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Ross is rocked!
Meuneix flashes Ross a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Ross's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Ross crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Meuneix punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!
