Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jerrod Steinbeck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tilly Tully (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tully comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Yuk'll Kila Kali kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Tilly Tully has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Jerrod Steinbeck's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jerrod Steinbeck!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tilly Tully!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Mauricio Rocha and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steinbeck fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Steinbeck misses with a few strikes there.

Tully scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Steinbeck is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Tully asserts his dominance and retains side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tully tries to move into full mount but can't pass Steinbeck's legs.
Steinbeck wants to get back to his feet but Tully is dominant here and he's now got Steinbeck's back!
Steinbeck is trying to escape the mount.
Tully wants to take Steinbeck's back but he can't do it this time.
Tully sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Tully thowing shots but they're missing.
Steinbeck tries to hold on but Tully postures up.

Steinbeck really wants to buck Tully off and get back to his feet.

Tully is standing up, even though he is in mount.

Steinbeck is breathing heavily.
Tully tries for a takedown but Steinbeck sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Tully drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Tully pushes down on Steinbeck's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Tully trying to control from half guard but Steinbeck is working away.
Tully prevents Steinbeck from standing back up.

Tully is working for a submission of some sort.

Steinbeck makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Tully is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Steinbeck moves into the clinch.

Steinbeck breaks from the clinch.

Steinbeck darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Steinbeck wants to take a breather but Tully is having none of it.
Tully has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Steinbeck is working away from the top position though.

Steinbeck decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Tully tries to clinch up
and Steinbeck counters with a nice uppercut.

Tully drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Tully looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Steinbeck can't keep his opponent in guard - Tully advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Steinbeck is refusing to be controlled, as Tully sits in half guard.
Steinbeck on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Steinbeck tries to get out of the position.

Steinbeck manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Tully has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Tully wants to clinch but Steinbeck slips to the side
and Steinbeck counters with an inside leg kick.
Tully takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Tully shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Steinbeck as he jumps to the side.

Steinbeck gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Tully wants to control from the top but Steinbeck keeps moving.

Steinbeck uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Tully looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Steinbeck is fending him off so far but Tully persists. Nope, Steinbeck circles away and we're back to standing.
Jerrod Steinbeck has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tilly Tully.
Steinbeck misses with a series of wild punches.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Steinbeck lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Tully backwards.
Steinbeck will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Tully up against the cage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Steinbeck prevents a takedown attempt there.

Steinbeck breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Steinbeck drops Tully with a right and a left! Steinbeck comes rushing in but Tully regains his composure and manages to keep Steinbeck in guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Tully is rocked!
Steinbeck is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Tully is still in real trouble! Can Steinbeck finish him?
Steinbeck is trying to get back to half guard.
Tully advances to full mount.
Tully seems to have recovered his senses.
Steinbeck gets back to half guard.
Steinbeck is trying to stand up here but Tully is controlling him well.

Let's hope that Tully has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Steinbeck won't allow Tully to pass to mount.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Tully works his foot free and advances to mount.

Tully looking for a guillotine from mount but Steinbeck is having none of it.

Tully is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Steinbeck has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Steinbeck!

Tully controls Steinbeck momentarily but Steinbeck frees himself.
Tully wants to control but Steinbeck passes easily into half guard.

Steinbeck has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, Tully works to full guard.
Tully seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Tully is on top in guard.

Steinbeck uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Tully tries to clinch but fails miserably
enabling Steinbeck to counter with a crisp jab.

and Steinbeck holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Steinbeck looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Steinbeck lands a left hand that snaps the head of Tully backwards.

Steinbeck breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Tully shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Steinbeck as he jumps to the side.
Steinbeck lands with a nice combination. Tully backs away looking to recover.
Steinbeck throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
The fight stays on the outside here - Tully looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Steinbeck stuffs the takedown.
Steinbeck keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Tully fails with a takedown attempt.
Jerrod Steinbeck has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tilly Tully.
Tully takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Steinbeck fails to land with a series of punches.
Tully ducks straight into an uppercut from Steinbeck and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Tully maanges to regain guard straight away.

Tully wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Steinbeck is now in half guard.

Steinbeck stands up and beckons Tully to join him on the feet.
Tully darts in trying to clinch

and Steinbeck counters with a left and a right that hurts Tully! He wobbles and falls to the floor - he's in big trouble! Steinbeck jumps into full mount!
Tully tries to reverse the position but Steinbeck maintains control.

Tully is squirming around, avoiding Steinbeck's attempts to control the action.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Steinbeck is really struggling to control Tully but he's trying to hold on to the position.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Steinbeck swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Tully on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Steinbeck connects with a good right hand that stumbles Tully. Tully circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Tully keeps the fight on the outside.
Tully wants to clinch but Steinbeck slips to the side
and Steinbeck counters with a left and a right that stings Tully.

Tully looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Steinbeck is trying to escape back to his feet but Tully uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Steinbeck can't do much from the bottom here.
Tully prevents Steinbeck from escaping the position.
Tully wants to stand but Steinbeck is controlling his arm.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Tully wants to control but Steinbeck is keeping him busy.

Steinbeck might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Tully decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Steinbeck keeps the fight on the outside.

Steinbeck works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Steinbeck lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Tully misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Steinbeck throws a nice looking combination but Tully bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Tully tries to clinch up but Steinbeck circles away and keeps his distance.

Steinbeck lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Steinbeck cracks the inside of Tully's front leg.

Tully shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Steinbeck's guard.
Tully wants to control from the top but Steinbeck keeps moving.
Tully works over Steinbeck with some ground and pound from guard.
Tilly Tully has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Tully is in close to Steinbeck's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Tully is stalling in the full guard.
Tully working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Steinbeck's head.
Steinbeck is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Tully is controlling him.
Tully is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Steinbeck is looking to stand up but Tully isn't so interested in that idea.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jerrod Steinbeck.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Steinbeck, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
