With a record of 17 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ben Slam!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Shigeki Sano and Ren Mimura.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Slam finds it's way through Wrecks's defenses.
Slam misses with a double jab
and Wrecks counters with a stiff right hand.

It looks like Ben Slam has been cut.
Slam misses with a kick to the body
and Wrecks counters with a left to the body.
A thudding body kick lands there by Wrecks!
Slam swings widly with a right hand
and Wrecks counters with a nice uppercut.
Slam moves out of range of the strikes.
Wrecks is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Slam.
Wrecks misses with a kick to the body
and Slam counters with a straight right hand.
Wrecks has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Slam misses with a right hand
and Wrecks counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Slam throws a poor cross that misses
and Wrecks counters with a slapping leg kick.
Slam misses with an uppercut
and Wrecks counters with a lovely straight right hand!

That has opened up Ben Slam's cut even more.
Wrecks throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Wrecks takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

It looks like Will Wrecks has been cut.

Slam scores with a nice right hand.
Wrecks displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Slam throws out the jab.
A quick step to the side and Wrecks tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Slam connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Wrecks walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Slam fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
We've been informed that Slam has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
A swing and a miss from Slam.
Slam bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Wrecks wants to land a leg kick but Slam is out of range.
Ben Slam seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Slam pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Slam moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Slam does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Wrecks throws a right hand that misses
and Slam counters with a massive hook, right on the button! He's out cold! Damn, that was naaaaaasty! Hopefully he'll be OK.
