PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joey Faolin (ranked 2632 p4p, 2349 weight class) and Dmitry Boytsov (ranked 327 p4p, 300 weight class). Faolin kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is It Ain’t a Crime by House of Pain. Dmitry Boytsov told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Faolin connects with a good right hand that stumbles Boytsov. Boytsov circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Boytsov gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Faolin cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

It looked like Faolin was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Boytsov.
Faolin misses with a wild body shot.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Faolin has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Boytsov is really squeezing tight and eventually Faolin passes out! Boytsov breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
