Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Check (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bryan Banks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Johnny Check has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Johnny Check seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Johnny Check! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bryan Banks! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Gwen Towbar and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight stays on the outside here - Banks looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Banks waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Check. Check keeps the fight on the outside. Banks is looking to clinch but Check is avoiding it.
Banks throws a right and a left that Check avoids nicely. Banks tries to clinch up but Check circles away and keeps his distance. Banks tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Check paws at him with a jab and circles away. Banks wants to clinch up but Check keeps it at a distance. Check shoots for a double leg takedown but Banks sprawls well. He's pushed Check's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Check scores with a takedown into Banks's guard. Check forces his way into half guard. Check works his way into side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Check prevents Banks from escaping the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Banks's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Check is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Banks knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Banks tries to bench press Check off him but Check keeps the position. Check tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. That's two minutes gone in the round. Check wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Banks, who protects the arm well. Check has hold of Banks's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Banks tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Check cranks the arm and Banks screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Banks, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Johnny Check!
