Reyes's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Zack Hemsey - Vengeance. Roman Reyes has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kevin Jensen!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Eddie Farnsworth and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jensen scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Jensen throws a wild body kick that Reyes sees coming a mile off.

and Jensen takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Reyes feints a jab promting Jensen to slip. Reyes then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Jensen slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Jensen tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Reyes was well out of range. Poor timing from Jensen.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Jensen has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Reyes is looking for a counter combo.

Jensen tries to circle away but Reyes has him pinned against the cage.
Jensen is pressed against the cage. Reyes pushes back and unleashes a big elbow that really hurts Jensen! Two more big strikes from Reyes and Jensen crumples to the mat and taps out furiously due to the strikes!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Roman Reyes!
Roman Reyes bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
Kevin Jensen spoke after the fight, saying 'congrats to my opponent. I'll work harder and be back stronger next time.'.
