PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nassir Bey (ranked 24495 p4p, 5624 weight class) and Paul Mills (ranked 640 p4p, 538 weight class). Paul Mills will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nassir Bey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Paul Mills! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Bruno Lombardi and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bey tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mills sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bey somewhat. Bey doesn't succeed with the takedown and Mills counters with a body kick that stops Bey in his tracks momentarily. Bey shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Mills counters with a straight punch to the midsection. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nassir Bey. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bey is breathing heavily. Mills lands a big head kick that sends Bey to the canvas! Mills follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Paul Mills! A less than humble Paul Mills misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
