PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Mir (ranked 3899 p4p, 4656 weight class) and Chad Johnson (ranked 467 p4p, 520 weight class). Johnson has chosen Can't be touched as his entrance music. Chad Johnson will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chad Johnson!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Johnson's coach down at MONEY TEAM!!! was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Johnson's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Johnson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mir. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Johnson has momentary wrist control but Mir slips an elbow through the middle.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Johnson has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Mir has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Johnson is trying to push Mir away but Mir has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

A close round but Chad Johnson will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Mir goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Johnson rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Mir's guard! Nice work there by Johnson!

Mir is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Johnson defends well.

Mir escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Johnson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Johnson postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Mir has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Johnson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Johnson creates some space for himself and unloads with a monster right hand! That one landed with a sickening thud - Mir is out cold and this one is all over! Johnson climbs onto the cage to celebrate with his corner!! He's shouting something into the camera but he's still got his mouthpiece in so God knows what he's actually saying.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:39 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Chad Johnson!
Chad Johnson tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
