The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dos Santos closes the distance and clinches.
Dash is trying to break the clinch but Dos Santos has him pressed against the cage.

Dash breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Dos Santos shoots in for a double leg but Dash sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Dos Santos fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Dash, pushing him back against the cage.
Dash is trying to break the clinch but Dos Santos is controlling him.
Dos Santos has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Dash is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Dash's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Dash lands a jab.

Dos Santos fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Dash to the ground. Dos Santos is now in Dash's guard.

Dash pushes Dos Santos off looking to stand but Dos Santos dives back in and keeps control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
