Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Deacon Slaughter (ranked 1820 p4p, 2220 weight class) and King Cracker (ranked 196 p4p, 234 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Deacon Slaughter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, King Cracker!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, David Hoff and Winston Alpacca.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slaughter moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

Cracker takes the fight into the clinch.

Cracker escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Cracker looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
A big left from Slaughter misses.

Cracker has taken the fight to the clinch.
Slaughter wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Cracker has him pressed against the cage.

Cracker breaks from the clinch.
Slaughter definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Slaughter gets tackled into the cage by Cracker. Cracker maintains the clinch.
Slaughter throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Cracker manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Cracker has a closed guard, preventing Slaughter from standing up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cracker escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Slaughter gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Slaughter wants to control from the top but Cracker keeps moving.

Cracker is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Slaughter is aware though and is defending well.
Cracker looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Cracker looking for a guillotine here but Slaughter defends easily.

Cracker is looking for a triangle but Slaughter pushes his legs off easily.
Slaughter trying to control the position from guard on top but Cracker is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Slaughter got a little sloppy there for a moment and Cracker has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Slaughter has managed to get both his arms back between Cracker's legs - danger averted.

Cracker has his foot on Slaughter's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Slaughter works his way back into a safe position though.
Slaughter is fighting to break Cracker's control of his arms but Cracker is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Cracker has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Slaughter can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Slaughter is looking to stand up but Cracker won't let him.

Cracker throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Slaughter escapes and throws Cracker's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Slaughter wants to stand but Cracker is controlling his arm.

Slaughter wants to control but Cracker is keeping him busy.

Slaughter is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Cracker knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Slaughter tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

Slaughter wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Cracker, who protects the arm well.

Cracker prevents Slaughter from moving into mount.

King Cracker dominated that round.

Cracker closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Slaughter lands a nice shot to the body.
Cracker blocks a body shot from Slaughter.
A frustrated look appears on Slaughter's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Slaughter wants to break free but Cracker has control.
Cracker is trying to pull guard but Slaughter turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Cracker ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Cracker no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Cracker working for a triangle but Slaughter defends it easily.
Slaughter passes Cracker's left leg - he's now in half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Slaughter wants to take a breather but Cracker is having none of it.

Slaughter seems to be working for a kimura but Cracker defends the submission attempt.

It looks like Slaughter is going to stand back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Cracker is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Slaughter pulls his head out easily.

Slaughter can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Cracker controls the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
King Cracker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Cracker takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Cracker fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Slaughter, pushing him back against the cage.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Deacon Slaughter will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Cracker darts in and clinches Slaughter up against the cage.
Slaughter misses with a punch to the body.

Slaughter lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Cracker backwards.
Slaughter wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Cracker has him pressed against the cage.
Cracker prevents Slaughter from breaking the clinch.
Cracker tries to pull guard but Slaughter won't allow it.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Slaughter.

Cracker gets control of Slaughter's arms and successfully pulls guard. Cracker will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Cracker working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Slaughter doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Cracker is tightening it up a little... Slaughter has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Slaughter reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Slaughter taps out! Nice BJJ there by Cracker!
