Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Aldo Parise (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Greg Lewis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lewis is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Lil John. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Aldo Parise! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Greg Lewis! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Alec Ball and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Parise fails to land the takedown. Greg Lewis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Horrible takedown by Parise or perhaps it was just good defense by Lewis which made him look bad. Parise closes this distance looking for a takedown but Lewis circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aldo Parise. That's going to take a lot out of him. Parise tries to keep at a distance but Lewis has taken the fight into the clinch. Lewis is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Parise tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Lewis just stands there and leans against the cage. Lewis just leaning against Parise, taking a breather. Parise wants to stall.
Lewis's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Lewis wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Parise stalling.

Parise drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Lewis manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

No joy there for Lewis, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Parise throws a looping overhand right but Lewis ducks down to avoid it. Lewis tries to bum rush Parise with a series of wild strikes but Parise uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Nice shot lands for Lewis. Lewis looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Parise keeps control of the position for the meantime. Parise might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Lewis trying to control the action but Parise is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ground and pound from Lewis. Lewis thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Parise's head. Lewis scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Parise is rocked!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Parise trying to control from the bottom.
Oh Parise is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Parise is pressing down on Lewis's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Parise seems to have got his legs back now. Lewis scoring with punches to the head and body. Parise keeping full guard, as Lewis tries to pass. Lewis wants to control from the top but Parise keeps moving. Parise looking for a sweep. Not yet Parise, not yet. Parise bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Lewis's guard. Parise is breathing heavily. Parise trying to control the position from guard on top but Lewis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Lewis will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Lewis wants to get back to his feet but Parise is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Parise loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Lewis is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lewis is striking off his back. Parise thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard. Parise keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Parise is keen to just control but Lewis is a slippery customer.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Parise keeps the fight on the outside. Lewis moves into the clinch successfully.
Parise wants to break free but Lewis has control.

Parise tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Lewis just stands there and leans against the cage. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Lewis takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Lewis works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Lewis throwing strikes but missing. Lewis trying to control the position from guard on top but Parise is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Lewis throws a big right hand that misses. Lewis must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Parise is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Parise trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Parise wants to stand and escape but Lewis is having none of it. Parise pushes Lewis off and gets back to his feet.
A left and a right from Lewis both land. Nice combination. Parise misses with a takedown attempt and Lewis counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Parise shoots in but Lewis avoids the takedown attempt easily. Parise bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Parise advances to full mount. Parise postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Lewis looks a forlorn figure.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Parise sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Greg Lewis dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Parise feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Parise tries to free his leg and advance position but Lewis is retaining full guard. Lewis throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Lewis keeping moving, preventing Parise from controlling successfully. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lewis can do anything to dispel that myth. Parise passes into half guard. Parise looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Lewis with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Parise drops an elbow to the side of Lewis's head. Parise trying to mount his opponent but Lewis defends it. Lewis has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Parise is working away from the top position though. Parise wants to pass to mount but Lewis is defending the position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Lewis wants to improve his position but Parise is controlling well.
Lewis really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Parise. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Parise is looking for a kimura but Lewis is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Parise to get the leverage. Parise stands up from half guard. Parise misses with a takedown attempt - Lewis sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Parise looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Parise looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lewis is fending him off so far but Parise persists. Nope, Lewis circles away and we're back to standing. Lewis throws a hook but Parise avoids it easily. Parise fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lewis manages to avoid it. Parise misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aldo Parise. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lewis looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Parise shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Parise moves in looking to clinch but Lewis pushes him off. Aldo Parise is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Parise misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Lewis scores a takedown into full mount! Parise working to try and regain half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Parise is not content to let Lewis control the position. Parise regains full guard. Nicely done. Parise working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Lewis. Lewis is looking to work some ground and pound but Parise has wrist control. Parise manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lewis manages to get himself to full guard.
Lewis striking from the bottom here. Lewis keeping busy, throwing shots from the bottom. Parise wants to control from the top but Lewis keeps moving. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Parise is on the wrong end of a couple of strikes there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Parise slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Lewis is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Parise off and has taken his back! Lewis not allowing Parise to control his hands. Parise is covering up but some of the strikes from Lewis are getting through and doing damage.
Parise rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Lewis is pressing down on Parise's thigh, looking to free his foot. Parise is holding on for now. Lewis scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Parise is controlling Lewis's trapped leg to prevent Lewis from advancing to side control. Parise looks like he's trying to stand up.
Lewis is keen to just control but Parise is a slippery customer. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Aldo Parise will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Lewis keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Parise keeps the fight on the outside. Lewis lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Lewis throws a combination. Parise tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Parise tries to clinch and Lewis counters with a left to the body. Lewis darts in and clinches Parise up against the cage. Lewis lands an uppercut. Lewis stalling the fight.
Lewis pushes Parise back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Parise successfully pulls guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Parise has his foot on Lewis's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lewis works his way back into a safe position though. Aldo Parise overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Lewis working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Parise's head. Parise looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Lewis cracks Parise with a solid left hand. Parise trying to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Parise utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Parise is on top in guard.
Parise trying to control but Lewis is working from the bottom. Parise is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Parise is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Parise is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Parise trying to control but Lewis is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Parise controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Aldo Parise just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Parise tries to clinch up. A left and a right from Lewis both land. Nice combination. Parise tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Parise doesn't succeed with the takedown and Lewis counters with a nice uppercut. Parise shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Lewis as he jumps to the side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aldo Parise. That's going to take a lot out of him. Left hook, right uppercut from Lewis. Lewis moves into the clinch successfully.

Parise has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Lewis avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Parise has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Lewis is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Lewis is leaning against Parise and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Lewis scores with a shoulder strike.
