The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Medeiros gets tackled into the ropes by Jernigan. Jernigan maintains the clinch.
Jernigan lands a shoulder strike.
Medeiros blocking some punches.
Jernigan swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Medeiros lands a hook that snaps the head of Jernigan backwards.
Medeiros is trying to stall.
Jernigan misses with some punches.
Medeiros tries to break free but Jernigan pushes him back against the ropes.
Jernigan lands with a right to the head.
Medeiros is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Medeiros wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Medeiros blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Medeiros has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Medeiros lands a body shot in the clinch.

Jernigan takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Jernigan walks into a stiff left hand from Medeiros.

Jernigan is rocked!
Jernigan takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Jernigan is still on wobbly legs! Can Medeiros finish him?
Jernigan misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A quick step to the side and Medeiros tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Jernigan seems to have recovered his senses.
Jernigan shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Jernigan takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Jernigan lands a big head kick that sends Medeiros tumbling to the mat! Jernigan takes a step backwards and waves Medeiros back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Aljosa Medeiros has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jernigan tries to clinch up.
Jernigan walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Medeiros drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Jernigan right on the button. Jernigan goes down! Medeiros follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Medeiros gets the win via TKO!
