Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joshua Floyd (ranked 2962 p4p, 2940 weight class) and Patrick Kearney (ranked 379 p4p, 378 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joshua Floyd! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Patrick Kearney! The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Donald Grub and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kearney cracks a nice hook into Floyd's ribs. Kearney swings for the body but Floyd moves out of range.
Kearney misses with a wild body shot. Floyd is looking to clinch. Kearney let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Kearney throws a jab when Floyd was well out of range. Floyd looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Kearney wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Kearney connects with the punch. Nice cross by Floyd. Floyd scores with a nice body kick.
Floyd gets tackled into the cage by Kearney. Kearney maintains the clinch. Kearney struggles to land a body shot inside as Floyd controls his hands.
Floyd blocks an uppercut.
Floyd works on Kearney's body with a couple of short punches. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A nice right hand lands inside from Floyd. Floyd blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Kearney swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Floyd tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Kearney's elbow. Kearney lands with a short head shot on the inside. A head punch blocked on the inside by Kearney. Floyd digs a right hand underneath Kearney's ribcage. Kearney let out a lung full of air as it connected. Kearney looks winded!
That's one minute gone in the round. Floyd escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kearney on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Floyd. Floyd obviously looking to wear him down.
Good standup being displayed there by Floyd as he connects with a hook. Floyd connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. A jab from Kearney finds it's way through Floyd's defenses. Floyd closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Floyd lands in his opponent's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Floyd sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Kearney's guard. Kearney is looking to improve his position.
Floyd wants to free his trapped foot but Kearney is holding on for dear life with his legs. Floyd thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kearney is pressing down on Floyd's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Floyd missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Kearney working a defensive guard here.
Floyd won't allow Kearney to sweep him here. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Floyd wants to control from the top but Kearney keeps moving. Kearney looking for a sweep. Not yet Kearney, not yet. Kearney is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Floyd regains full guard. Nicely done. Kearney wants to control from the top but Floyd keeps moving.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Kearney avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Floyd is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kearney is aware though and is defending well. Floyd working for a triangle but Kearney defends it easily.
Floyd has his foot on Kearney's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kearney works his way back into a safe position though. Kearney slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Floyd keeping moving, preventing Kearney from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Floyd working for a triangle but Kearney defends it easily.
Kearney trying to control but Floyd is working from the bottom. Kearney stopping the sweep attempt from Floyd. Kearney is looking to work some ground and pound but Floyd has wrist control. Kearney showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Floyd is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Kearney has his hands clasped together but Floyd extends and breaks Kearney's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Floyd.
