Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barns tries to clinch

and Anstey counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Barns throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Anstey escapes and throws Barns's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Anstey works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Anstey creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Barns is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Barns on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Anstey lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Anstey seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Barns for as long as he can get away with.
Anstey lands a couple of good shots and Barns has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
Anstey throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Barns!

Barns covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.

Anstey scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.
Barns is still in real trouble! Can Anstey finish him?
Anstey just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Barns seems to have recovered his senses.
Anstey cracks Barns with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Barns from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.

Barns trying to control the hands but Anstey won't let him.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Anstey connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Barns to escape the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
What can Barns do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Anstey has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Barns.

Anstey lands a massive punch from the back that knocks Barns out cold! Anstey jumps to his feet and celebrates wildly with his corner.
