PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Halibut Halibut (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brenden Tully (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Halibut's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Peter You Suck. Tully is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Open Your Eyes. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Brenden Tully enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Halibut Halibut!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brenden Tully !
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Gwen Towbar and George Francis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tully shoots in for a takedown but Halibut shows good takedown defense.
Halibut throws a push kick but Tully slaps the foot to one side.
Tully shoots in for a double leg but Halibut sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Tully takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Tully dives in and grabs Halibut's left leg, looking for a takedown. Halibut pushes down on Tully 's head and hops out.
Halibut Halibut has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brenden Tully .
Halibut stuffs the takedown.
Tully throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Tully shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Halibut as he jumps to the side.
Halibut throws a head kick but Tully moves out of range.
Halibut jabs at Tully 's body.
Halibut scores with a nice right hand.
Halibut lands a lovely overhand right.
Halibut scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

Halibut rushes Tully and presses him up against the cage.
Tully looking for a takedown.

Halibut has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Tully clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Halibut keeps control of the position as Tully tries to break free.

Tully is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Halibut gets his way!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Tully tries to escape but Halibut has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Halibut trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Tully doesn't escape.

Halibut is working for a rear naked choke. Tully is not defending it well and Halibut has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Tully refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Tully 's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
