Arlovski comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Bodies by Drowning Pool kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Lyoto Machida could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jack Arlovski's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lyoto Machida!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack Arlovski!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Tiny Johnson and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arlovski closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.


It looks like Jack Arlovski has been cut.
Arlovski just misses with a punch to the body.
Arlovski looks for a takedown but Machida sprawls well.
Machida throws a sloppy head kick and Arlovski moves out of range easily.
Machida misses with a hook. Arlovski ducked under it nicely.
Donk. Arlovski catches Machida right on the button with a cross.
Arlovski lands a really nice looking cross but Machida seems unphased.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Arlovski.

and Arlovski counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Machida!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

It looks like Lyoto Machida has been cut.

Machida tries to lock up and control but Arlovski gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Machida knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Arlovski on the ground.

Arlovski is going olschool here, as he tries to force Machida to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Machida shrugs it off.
