Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Aeson Beckley (ranked 4749 p4p, 4557 weight class) and Peter Thunder (ranked 0 p4p, 464 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beckley lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Thunder tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
A looping hook to the body misses from Beckley. Thunder does a little dance to reset his feet.

Thunder shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Beckley has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Thunder has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Thunder fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Thunder tries to break free but Beckley pushes him back against the cage.

Beckley breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

and Thunder counters with a series of strikes. Beckley will be more careful next time no doubt.

Beckley throws a hook but Thunder avoids it easily.
Thunder darts in looking for a takedown but Beckley gets double underhooks and turns Thunder into the cage.
And Beckley counters with a quick kick to the body but Thunder blocks it.
Thunder's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Thunder duly obliges.
Beckley takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Beckley throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Beckley pushes Thunder up against the cage in a clinch.

Thunder is trying to pull guard but Beckley turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Aeson Beckley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Peter Thunder.
The referee is keeping an eye on Beckley - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Beckley parries the strikes from Thunder easily there. Thunder is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Beckley to escape.

Beckley is trying to trip Thunder. He has hold of a leg but Thunder is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Beckley persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Thunder really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Beckley. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Beckley throws a nice looking combination but Thunder bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Beckley lands a nice shot to the body.

Beckley feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Thunder sprawling to the canvas! Thunder rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Beckley finish him?!

Thunder is rocked!
Aeson Beckley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Beckley has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Thunder off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Beckley throws an overhand right that lands on Thunder's shoulder, as Thunder tries to avoid the shot.
Beckley steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Thunder is out on his feet! Beckley sets himself and nearly takes Thunder's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!
