Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Lazaro Dominguez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ronald Dump!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Daniel Franklin and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dump takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Dump avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Dump with the counter takedown but Dominguez avoids it easily.
Dominguez throws a right hand that Dump ducks under and follows up with a left that Dump also avoids with ease.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Dump.
Dominguez lands with a cross.
Dump manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Dominguez on his heels. He'll look to pass Dominguez's guard now, I'm sure.
Dump tries to stand but Dominguez is controlling from the bottom.
Dominguez wants to stand and escape but Dump is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dominguez is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Dump pulls guard effortlessly.
Dominguez gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Dominguez, as that shot connected.
Left hook, right uppercut from Dominguez.
Dominguez uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Dump is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Dominguez lands an uppercut, right on the button! Dump tumbles backwards into the cage, staring vacantly into space! He's got no idea where he is, who he is or what day it is... Poor guy.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:06 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Lazaro Dominguez!
