Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Abbas Mohammad (ranked 2127 p4p, 2100 weight class) and Olu Banjo (ranked 275 p4p, 272 weight class). Olu Banjo will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mohammad shoots for a double leg takedown but Banjo sprawls well. He's pushed Mohammad's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

A nice inside leg kick there by Banjo. That's going to slow Mohammad down.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Abbas Mohammad. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Mohammad has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Mohammad postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Banjo covers up, he's hurt! Mohammad keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Mohammad and the ref steps in to end the fight! Mohammad can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
