Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Matheus Furriel (ranked 2185 p4p, 2331 weight class) and Rodrigo Bibirano (ranked 289 p4p, 300 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bibirano feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bibirano passes Furriel's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Furriel manages to get to full guard.
Bibirano trying to move into half guard but instead Furriel has managed to sweep!
Furriel throws a sloppy strike and Bibirano has hooked up an armbar on the loose arm! He's turned and extended fully! Furriel is forced to tap! Great BJJ from Bibirano!

Rodrigo Bibirano decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
