Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alejandro Martinez (ranked 3108 p4p, 4571 weight class) and Peter Preston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Alejandro Martinez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Peter Preston! The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Dirk Anderson and Peter Branson.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martinez bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Martinez is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Preston is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Martinez lands a few punches from side control. Sloppy strikes there by Martinez. Martinez wants to lay and pray for a moment but Preston keeps working. Martinez in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Preston is looking for a sweep. Martinez tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Martinez throws a strike aimed at the side of Preston's head but Preston avoids it well.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Preston isn't going anywhere. Martinez just content to control the position.
Martinez stands up and we're back to a striking position. Martinez shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Preston as he avoids it easily. Martinez lands a head kick. Preston smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
 It looks like Peter Preston has been cut. Preston fails with the takedown. Peter Preston seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Preston displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Martinez.
 That's two minutes gone in the round.
Preston drives through and clinches with Martinez against the cage.
Preston manages to pull guard.

Preston has momentary wrist control but Martinez slips an elbow through the middle.
Preston working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Martinez doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Martinez manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Martinez is in close to Preston's body, working some short punches and elbows.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Martinez wants to control from the top but Preston keeps moving. Preston is looking to stand up but Martinez isn't so interested in that idea.
Preston has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Martinez is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Preston. Preston wants to control but Martinez postures up.
Martinez has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Preston throws a hook but Martinez blocks it. Preston is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Martinez shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Martinez showed some decent athleticism there. Preston lands with a few short shots to the body. Preston works his way to full guard. Good work. Martinez knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Preston on the ground. Preston keeping full guard, as Martinez tries to pass. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Preston working a defensive guard here.
Martinez cracks Preston with a solid left hand. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Alejandro Martinez dominated that round. The cut man is working on Peter Preston's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Martinez fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Preston to the ground. Martinez is now in Preston's guard.
Preston has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Martinez has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage. Preston is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Martinez to keep the fight standing. Preston unloads a knee to the mid-section. Martinez lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Martinez is fighting off a takedown attempt but Preston is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Martinez to the mat. Martinez regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Martinez is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Preston presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. This has been an exciting period of action! Martinez tries to work over Preston's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Martinez stops a takedown attempt from Preston.
Martinez tries to pull guard but Preston won't allow it.
Preston can't find room to land a body shot as Martinez controls the action.
Preston stalls. Martinez can't get the takedown.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Preston keeps control of Martinez as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Martinez is trying to pull guard but Preston turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alejandro Martinez. That's going to take a lot out of him. Preston throws a knee to the head but misses.
Preston breaks the clinch.
Martinez slaps away a takedown attempt from Preston, before circling back to the center of the mat. A little feinted left hand from Martinez on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Martinez keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Preston throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Preston drives through with a takedown into Martinez's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Preston is breathing heavily. Preston is looking to stand up but Martinez won't let him. Preston being controlled here momentarily.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. Martinez takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Preston regains full guard. Nicely done. Preston trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Martinez wants to control from the top but Preston keeps moving. Martinez showing good wrestling skills to control the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Preston lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Preston with a nice head shot there. Preston wants to control from the top but Martinez keeps moving. Martinez lands some strikes from the bottom. Martinez keeping moving, preventing Preston from controlling successfully. Preston sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Martinez's guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Peter Preston will probably get the nod - 10:9. The cut man is working on Peter Preston's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Martinez tries for a takedown but Preston sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Preston throws a counter combo. Nice takedown defense from Martinez. No joy for Preston on that attempt. It looked like Martinez was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Preston decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Preston takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Preston working over Martinez with some ground and pound. Martinez looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Alejandro Martinez overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Martinez misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Preston is thwarting Martinez's attempts to control the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Martinez is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Preston scores with a couple of nice shots. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Martinez wants to get back to full guard.

 That's one minute gone in the round. Martinez wants to improve his position but Preston is controlling well.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Martinez is trying to stand back up but Preston is controlling him
Preston wants to control but Martinez is keeping him busy. Martinez avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Preston. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Preston lands strikes from half guard. Martinez is trying to get back to full guard. Martinez is working hard here to advance position.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Preston is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Preston is keen to just control but Martinez is a slippery customer.
Preston seems to be looking for submissions.
Martinez is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
 The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Preston closes the distance and clinches.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Preston gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Preston gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Martinez wants to get back to his feet but Preston passes into half guard.
 Martinez might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Martinez looks like he's trying to stand up.
Preston wants to pass to mount but Martinez is defending the position. Martinez is trying to control but Preston manages to pass to mount!
Martinez tries to lock up and control but Preston gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Preston is in the full mount, landing strikes. Martinez wants to control but Preston is having none of it. Preston landing strikes, looking to finish! Martinez is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Preston looking to finish Martinez with some ground and pound. This is bad for Martinez! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Martinez is squirming around, avoiding Preston's attempts to control the action.
And that's the end of the fight! Peter Preston comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Preston has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
