Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Billy Williams (ranked 1302 p4p, 1736 weight class) and Mike Carpenter (ranked 189 p4p, 244 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 17 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Billy Williams! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 12 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mike Carpenter! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Daniel Blasius and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Williams avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Williams went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Williams throws a nice head kick!
Williams looks to land a combination. Carpenter sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Carpenter has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Carpenter takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Carpenter is looking to take this fight into the clinch. A shot to the body from Carpenter misses and Williams counters with a nice uppercut. Williams thumps Carpenter with a low kick. Carpenter gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Williams cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Carpenter closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Carpenter lands in his opponent's guard. Williams on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Williams tries to get out of the position. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Williams is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Carpenter showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Williams is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Carpenter dives into side control.
Carpenter wants to control for a moment but Williams uses the opportunity to move back to half guard. Williams is trying to stand back up but Carpenter is controlling him
Carpenter is working for a kimura but Williams is defending it quite comfortably.
Carpenter working the head and body with strikes. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nice strikes from Carpenter there. Williams is looking to escape. Williams keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Carpenter content to control rather than advance. Williams is looking to escape. Carpenter working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carpenter scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Carpenter stalling away here and it's allowed Williams to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Williams wants to get back to his feet but Carpenter is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Carpenter not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Carpenter wants to control from the top but Williams keeps moving.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Carpenter shoots for a double leg takedown but Williams sprawls well. He's pushed Carpenter's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. It appears Williams was looking to counter with a kick there. Carpenter tries to move into range but Williams moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Mike Carpenter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Carpenter wants to clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Carpenter with a poor takedown and Williams connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Billy Williams has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Carpenter. Williams scores with a one two! Carpenter had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
It looks like Mike Carpenter has been cut. Williams connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Williams ducks under a wild hook from Carpenter. Williams thinks about countering with a head kick. Williams showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Carpenter.
Williams lands a body shot.
Carpenter looks winded! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Carpenter gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Williams counters with a left to the body. Williams connects with a looping right hand.
Carpenter tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Williams swivels and escapes. Williams attempts a counter takedown but Carpenter avoids it well and moves away. Williams connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Carpenter throws a series of punches but Williams moves out of range. It looked like Williams was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Carpenter. Williams bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. A head kick from Williams lands but Carpenter takes it in his stride. Williams steps in with a hook that catches Carpenter right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Williams follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Carpenter looks absolutely devastated.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Billy Williams! Jumping up and down and very excited, Billy Williams waved his t-shirt featuring Altitude Clothing's logo in front of the cameras.
