Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Williams went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Carpenter has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Carpenter shoots for a double leg takedown but Williams sprawls well. He's pushed Carpenter's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
It appears Williams was looking to counter with a kick there.

Carpenter tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Williams swivels and escapes.
Williams attempts a counter takedown but Carpenter avoids it well and moves away.
Williams connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Carpenter throws a series of punches but Williams moves out of range.
It looked like Williams was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Carpenter.
Williams bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
A head kick from Williams lands but Carpenter takes it in his stride.
Williams steps in with a hook that catches Carpenter right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Williams follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Carpenter looks absolutely devastated.
