Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Seiji Tanikawa (ranked 4416 p4p, 3594 weight class) and Dagestani Wrestler (ranked 527 p4p, 454 weight class). Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tanikawa ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Wrestler misses with a takedown attempt
and Tanikawa counters with a good low kick that Wrestler was not able to check.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Wrestler has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Tanikawa lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

It looks like Dagestani Wrestler has been cut.

Tanikawa drops Wrestler with a right and a left! Tanikawa comes rushing in but Wrestler regains his composure and manages to keep Tanikawa in guard.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Tanikawa wants to control from the top but Wrestler keeps moving.

Tanikawa postures up in Wrestler's guard and throws a big left but Wrestler blocks it.
Tanikawa throws a strike but Wrestler rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Tanikawa on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Tanikawa tries to get out of the position.

Wrestler engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Tanikawa is looking to sweep but instead, Wrestler has passed into half guard.
Tanikawa wants to get back to full guard but Wrestler has passed into side control.

Wrestler wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Tanikawa, who protects the arm well.

Wrestler is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Tanikawa will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Wrestler is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Tanikawa's shoulder. That is not cool.
Tanikawa tries to improve position but can't.
Wrestler happy to just control the position for now.
Wrestler's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Tanikawa tries to bench press Wrestler off him but Wrestler keeps the position.
A lull in the action here as Wrestler stalls from top position.
Tanikawa tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Wrestler wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Wrestler is staying tight to Tanikawa's torso, preventing him from escaping.

Tanikawa is looking for a sweep.
Wrestler remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Nice body kick from Tanikawa.
Wrestler shoots for a double leg takedown but Tanikawa sprawls well. He's pushed Wrestler's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Wrestler with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Tanikawa to score with a decent uppercut.

Wrestler takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Tanikawa feints a jab promting Wrestler to slip. Tanikawa then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Wrestler slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Wrestler takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Wrestler looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Tanikawa throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Wrestler colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Tanikawa as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Wrestler is left battered and dazed whilst Tanikawa and his camp cheer!
