Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Fidelity Castro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, John Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Konstantin Menshow and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Johnson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Castro's waist but Castro gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Johnson off to one side.
Castro throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Johnson on the side of the head.

That has opened up John Johnson's cut even more.

Castro uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Johnson.
Castro lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Johnson circles away quickly and effectively.

Castro thuds his right hand into Johnson's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Johnson goes for a double leg but Castro avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Castro continues to drive forward.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Johnson is defended easily by Castro.
Johnson doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Castro is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Johnson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Castro pinned against the cage. Castro gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Castro throws a big counter combination but Johnson scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Castro connects with a single shot there.
Johnson fails to land the takedown.
