Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Haschuk Sucnek!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Matos Mirando!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Arvi Lind and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sucnek with a nice calf kick.
Sucnek swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Mirando shoots and misses
enabling Sucnek to counter with a crisp jab.
Mirando lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Mirando takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Mirando closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Sucnek's guard.
Mirando working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Mirando passes Sucnek's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Mirando winds up and cracks Sucnek with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Mirando lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Sucnek is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mirando looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Oh Sucnek is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Mirando lands with a punch from half guard.
Sucnek wants to get back to full guard but Mirando has passed into side control.
Sucnek seems to have got his legs back now.
Sucnek trying to remain calm as Mirando controls from the top position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Sucnek takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Mirando landing a few strikes.
Mirando cracks Sucnek with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Mirando immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Sucnek is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Mirando!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Matos Mirando!
