Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Master Bates (ranked 1869 p4p, 1973 weight class) and Neil Parker (ranked 259 p4p, 271 weight class). Parker has chosen Bring Me The Horizon - Obey as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Master Bates! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Neil Parker! The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, David Hoff and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Parker with a jab.
It looks like Master Bates has been cut. Parker looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Parker stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Parker lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Parker lands a jab to the nose. Parker listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Bates is rocked! Parker uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Oh Bates is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Parker is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Parker lands a big uppercut and Bates crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Bates looks OK. Parker waves Bates back to his feet! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Parker fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Bates on the side of the head. Oooooh!!! Parker has knocked Bates down with a huge combo! Parker steps away and waves a wobbly Bates back to his feet! This one might not go much longer! Parker has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Parker with a body punch. A glancing blow. Bates tries to score a power double leg takedown but Parker sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bates somewhat. Bates seems to have got his legs back now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Parker lands a nice shot to the body.
Parker is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Bates had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush. Bates misses with a takedown attempt and Bates takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Parker connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Bates shoots and misses and Parker cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Master Bates. That's going to take a lot out of him. Parker cracks Bates on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Bates falls backwards against the cage. Parker follows up with more strikes that drop Bates to his knees. Parker keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Bates! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Neil Parker! A very excited looking Neil Parker made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
