Abdullayev comes to the cage accompanied by 50 Cent - In Da Club (Caucasian Remix). Albert Abdullayev had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice cross by Walker.
George Walker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Walker lands a jab to the head.
Abdullayev tries to close the distance and clinch up but Walker swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Walker looking to break Abdullayev's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Abdullayev remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Walker will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Abdullayev is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Walker gets his way!

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Walker is on top in guard.

We've been informed that Walker has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Abdullayev trying to keep a closed guard but Walker is proving a slippery customer.
Walker postures up in Abdullayev's guard and throws a big left but Abdullayev blocks it.
Abdullayev manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Walker manages to get himself to full guard.

Walker is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Walker is trying to keep Abdullayev in close.
Abdullayev stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Walker swivels though and keeps the full guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

George Walker dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Walker misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Abdullayev.
Walker catches Abdullayev with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
A combination from Walker does no damage.
Abdullayev fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Walker avoids it really well and circles away.

Walker leaves Abdullayev with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Walker's corner calls for a 1-2. Walker obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Abdullayev with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Walker to score with a decent uppercut.
A punch lands to the side of Abdullayev 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Abdullayev fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Walker connects with a jab.
Walker feints a jab promting Abdullayev to slip. Walker then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Abdullayev slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
