Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between RiGyu Jang (ranked 4644 p4p, 4316 weight class) and Mayke Carmelo (ranked 0 p4p, 389 weight class). Carmelo has chosen Rocky - Eye of The Tiger as his entrance music. Mayke Carmelo is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, RiGyu Jang! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mayke Carmelo! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Thiago Cunha and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jang looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Jang shoots in looking for a takedown but Carmelo manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Jang's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Jang darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Carmelo tries to roll over but Jang keeps him under control. Jang working the head and body with strikes. Carmelo on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Carmelo has his hands clasped together around Jang's back. He's all about the action. Carmelo is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Jang scores with a couple of nice shots. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jang thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Carmelo's head. Nice strikes from Jang there. Jang missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Jang lands with a punch from half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jang looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Jang working over Carmelo with some ground and pound. Carmelo looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Jang winds up and cracks Carmelo with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Carmelo is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Jang scores with a couple of nice shots. Jang thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Carmelo's head. Jang throwing shots but Carmelo is blocking nicely. Jang missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Carmelo has hold of Jang's hands but Jang slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Jang has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Carmelo on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Jang is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Carmelo can do anything to dispel that myth. Jang looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Jang scoring with strikes to the body and head. Jang looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Carmelo with a short hammerfist. Carmelo is rocked! Jang is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Carmelo is still in real trouble! Can Jang finish him? The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jang is looking to take a break and control but Carmelo is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Jang takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Carmelo is not content to let Jang control the position. Carmelo seems to have recovered his senses. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Jang thumps the canvas. Jang looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Jang seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Ground and pound from Jang. Carmelo looks winded! Carmelo taking some punishment here, with Jang in his half guard. Jang working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Jang lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Jang passes the guard and advances to mount! Jang with a couple of short strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jang breaks from Carmelo's wrist control and lands an elbow. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A big strike lands for Jang! That's really hurt Carmelo and he's turned his back - Jang keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Jang jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). RiGyu Jang! Our winner, RiGyu Jang, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
