Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ante Novak! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ispa Murska! The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, James Ackerman and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Murska misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Novak was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Murska misses with a straight right. We've been told by Novak's head coaches at DC Dragon Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. The fighters circle momentarily. Murska darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Murska lands with a good body shot. Novak defending well as Murska loads up on a big left hand. A looping hook to the body misses from Novak. Murska does a little dance to reset his feet. Novak throws a shot to the body.
Murska thuds a left hand into Novak's body. Murska misses the shot to the body. Murska throws a hook but Novak blocks it. Novak rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Murska counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Murska lands a really nice looking cross but Novak seems unphased.
Novak swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A looping hook to the body misses from Novak. Murska does a little dance to reset his feet. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Murska throws a one two combo.

That's one minute gone in the round. Murska misses with a right hand and Novak counters with a nice body shot. Ispa Murska seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A big left from Murska misses. Novak swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Novak fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Novak is looking to wear down Murska with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Novak swings and misses with a shot to the body and Murska counters by clinching up. Novak tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Murska's elbow. Novak escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Murska comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Murska throws out a loose jab but Novak uses good head movement to avoid it. Novak on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Murska lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Novak at a distance.
Murska takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Murska throws an off balance right hand
and Novak makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Murska misses the shot to the body. Murska uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Novak. Novak lands a jab to Murska's midsection. Novak just misses with a punch to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Murska slips a straight right by Novak. Novak swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Novak throws a body punch but Murska moves out of range. Murska stuns Novak with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. A jab from Murska finds it's way through Novak's defenses. Murska darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Novak misses the shot to the body. Murska fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Murska throws a hook to the side of Novak's head but Novak sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. A looping hook to the body misses from Novak. Murska does a little dance to reset his feet. and Novak counters with a lovely straight right hand! Murska closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Murska misses with a lunging right hand
and Novak counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Novak scores with a decent looking hook. Novak takes a swing at Murska's ribcage but misses. Murska just misses with a punch to the body.
Novak is looking to counter punch. Novak cracks Murska with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Murska looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Novak finish him?
Murska is rocked! Novak lands a slapping body shot.
Murska is still on wobbly legs! Can Novak finish him? Murska looks winded! Novak lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Murska up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Novak from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Murska's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ante Novak!
