Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between James Ytlear (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and bash jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ytlear comes into the arena with Necrophobic - The Third Antichrist blaring out of the sound system. bash jones will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, James Ytlear! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, bash jones! The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Vladimir Khabensky and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! jones throws a series of punches but Ytlear moves out of range. Ytlear feints and as jones raises his hands in defense, Ytlear changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Ytlear stopping the sweep attempt from jones. jones seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. jones wants to sweep but no luck. Ytlear trying to control the position from guard on top but jones is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. jones controls Ytlear momentarily but Ytlear frees himself. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ytlear drops back looking for a leg! jones is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and jones manages to kick Ytlear off! Ytlear jumps back into jones's guard. jones escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ytlear gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Ytlear avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. jones decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. jones looks gassed! jones is keen to just control but Ytlear is a slippery customer. Ytlear wants to control but jones is keeping busy and won't allow it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ytlear looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Ytlear wants to control but jones is keeping busy.
Ytlear makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Ytlear. jones wants to control from the top but Ytlear keeps moving. Ytlear controls jones momentarily but jones frees himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Ytlear throws a wild combination but nothing lands. A punch combination from Ytlear misses. jones misses with a body shot.
Ytlear misses with a takedown attempt and jones counters with a two punch combo. Ytlear changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. jones looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. You can see the frustration on jones's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Ytlear is looking to take a break and control but jones is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Ytlear throwing shots but missing, from side control. jones is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Ytlear working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. jones is trying to control Ytlear's posture but Ytlear avoids it. Ytlear tries to move to mount but jones blocks the move with his legs. jones tries to bench press Ytlear off him but Ytlear keeps the position. Ytlear trying to control the action but jones is working from the bottom. Ytlear tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. jones prevents Ytlear from improving position. jones struggling a bit here. Ytlear has knee on belly and moves into mount. jones tries to lock up and control but Ytlear gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Ytlear trying to control but he's not successful this time. Ytlear avoids the attempt from jones to control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
James Ytlear dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Ytlear tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. jones misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
jones fails in his attempt to clinch. Ytlear closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Ytlear lands in his opponent's guard. Ytlear trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. jones is looking for a triangle here but Ytlear uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Ytlear trying to control the position but jones is working away. jones is breathing heavily. Ytlear looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. jones is not content to let Ytlear control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ytlear is trying to get an arm triangle but jones is defending well. jones is trying to control Ytlear's posture but Ytlear avoids it. Ytlear scores with a couple of short elbows. Ytlear has knee on belly and moves into mount. jones slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. jones looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. jones wants to control but Ytlear is keeping busy and won't allow it. jones is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Ytlear has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Ytlear trying to control but he's not successful this time. Ytlear looking to secure an arm triangle but jones defends it well. Ytlear is trying to take his opponent's back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ytlear is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Ytlear extends the arm and jones is forced to tap!
