Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Charlie IV (ranked 1177 p4p, 3719 weight class) and Bruce Banger (ranked 165 p4p, 450 weight class). Bruce Banger has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Charlie IV's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Charlie IV!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bruce Banger!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
IV checks a leg kick nicely.
Banger walks into a left hand.
Banger connects with a leg kick.
Sloppy strikes from IV. Those never looked like landing.
IV looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
IV throwing shots but Banger is blocking nicely.

We've been hearing that IV has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

IV is taking a breather. Banger says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Banger really doesn't want to stay on the ground with IV. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
IV seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Banger can do anything to dispel that myth.

IV lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Banger on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

IV is really struggling to control Banger but he's trying to hold on to the position.
IV thows a huge punch but Banger dodges it nicely.
IV thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Banger's head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

IV is trying to control the action in half guard but Banger is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Banger looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
IV prevents Banger from improving his position.
IV winds up and cracks Banger with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
IV tries to pass the half guard into mount. Banger knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
IV is nestled in close to Banger, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
IV has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Charlie IV dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
IV moves forwards but Banger connects with a nice, crisp jab.
It looks like Charlie IV has been cut.
IV looks to score with a jab to the body but Banger is just out of range.
Banger throws a wild body kick that IV sees coming a mile off.
No luck with that takedown attempt from IV.
IV scores with a crisp jab that stopped Banger in his tracks.

IV drops down looking for a counter takedown but Banger sprawls and moves away.
Banger throws a leg kick which misses IV's front leg but catches the back leg as IV tries to avoid it.
Charlie IV is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
IV just misses with a punch to the body.
Nice sprawl there from Banger as IV shoots in.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
IV throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Banger jabs IV right on the nose. IV blinks but takes it well.
A shot to the liver by IV. Beautiful body shot.
Banger moves out of range of the strikes.
Banger takes one to the chin there.

IV checks a low kick from Banger.
Banger connects with a jab.
Banger tries a head kick but it misses.
Banger turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
IV throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Banger.
Banger tries to counter with a clinch but IV shakes him off and moves away.

Banger misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
A solid leg kick lands there for Banger.
IV has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Banger finds it's way round the side to connect with IV's head.
IV throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Banger counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Banger tries a body shot but IV blocks it.

Banger misses with the head strike.
IV breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Banger keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from IV.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A telegraphed right hand from IV misses the target.

IV thuds a left hand into Banger's body.
IV misses with a wild body shot.
IV is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Banger can do to turn this around?
IV misses with a jab, cross combination.
IV scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
IV shoots in and bounces Banger off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
IV in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Banger keeping moving, preventing IV from controlling successfully.
IV throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Banger works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Banger is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

IV passes easily into side control. Nice work.

IV connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Banger some visible discomfort.

IV scores with a couple of short elbows.
Banger tries to get back to half guard but can't.
IV working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
IV cracks Banger with a big right hand but Banger just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Charlie IV overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
IV lands a strong strike to the head of Banger. That's dazed him! IV looking to finish here. Banger is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - IV lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Charlie IV!
In his post fight interview, Charlie IV started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
