Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Todd Bates (ranked 6814 p4p, 5015 weight class) and Elias Hauki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Todd Bates has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Todd Bates! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Elias Hauki! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Percy O'Donnell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bates misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Hauki looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Bates with a lazy takedown attempt and Hauki cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Hauki stuffs the takedown attempt from Bates. Bates gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Todd Bates. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bates drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hauki is being controlled here. Bates in side control lands a decent elbow. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bates just content to control the position. Bates looks up at the clock and then as Hauki takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Bates smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
The referee asks Bates politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Bates prefers to stall for the moment though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hauki parries the strikes from Bates easily there. Bates is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Hauki to escape.
Bates throws an elbow but Hauki slips to the side and avoids it well. Bates controlling from side mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Bates lands an elbow. Bates is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Hauki's shoulder. That is not cool. Hauki takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hauki is trying to escape the position but Bates is controlling the position. Bates advances nicely into full mount. Bates has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Bates raining down hammerfists from mount. Bates lands a big shot there that rocks Hauki but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Bates takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bates lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Bates lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Hauki! Bates sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Hauki and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!
