Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Derrick Lewis (ranked 2642 p4p, 22319 weight class) and Tino Takala (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Tino Takala was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Takala closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Lewis quickly recovers to half guard.

Lewis is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Takala pulls his head out easily.
Lewis is looking to get back to full guard here but Takala has managed to pass to side control instead.
Lewis tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Takala wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Takala wants to pass to mount but Lewis is defending the position.

Lewis sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Tino Takala seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Takala swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Lewis drops down looking for a counter takedown but Takala sprawls and moves away.

Lewis blocking some punches.
Takala gets through Lewis's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Lewis stalling in the clinch but Takala improves position.

Lewis tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Takala lands with a short head shot on the inside.

Takala swings wildly with an uppercut but Lewis uses good head movement to avoid it.
Oh Lewis is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Takala tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Lewis is trying to pull guard but Takala has him pressed against the cage.
Takala misses with a hook from the clinch.

Lewis tries to break free but Takala pushes him back against the cage.

Takala has a couple of punches blocked by Lewis.
Takala tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Takala throws a head punch that misses.
Lewis blocks an uppercut.
Takala lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Lewis jumps guard but Takala stands there with Lewis around his waist. Lewis gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Derrick Lewis. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Takala dips a shoulder and cracks Lewis with a mighty uppercut! Lewis falls back against the cage and Takala unloads with a barrage of strikes! Lewis is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Takala screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

A very excited looking Tino Takala made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
