Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Khaing Tun!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ghasem Zahari!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Daniel Franklin and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tun fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Zahari looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Tun has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

It looks like Khaing Tun has been cut.
Tun misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Zahari scores with a jab. Tun acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Tun shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Zahari but Zahari pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Khaing Tun. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Zahari motions for Tun to come forward. Zahari throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Zahari moves into the clinch successfully.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tun is breathing heavily.

Zahari has Tun pressed against the cage.
Zahari lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Tun or not.

Zahari lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Tun.

Zahari pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Zahari gets in close and instigates a clinch.

The referee calls for Zahari to work.
The crowd are getting on Zahari's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch.

Khaing Tun's cut is getting worse.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Zahari creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Zahari's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Zahari cracks Tun with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Tun tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Zahari pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Tun is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ghasem Zahari!
