Mollen comes to the cage accompanied by Rise Against - Like the Angel. Captain Gonza has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A clash of legs there as Mollen blocks the low kick.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Gonza is defended easily by Mollen.

The fight stays on the outside here - Gonza looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Mollen fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Mollen misses with a hook. Gonza ducked under it nicely.
Gonza looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mollen is fending him off so far but Gonza persists. Nope, Mollen circles away and we're back to standing.

Mollen smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Gonza looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Both fighters circling a little - Mollen finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gonza will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
